Bug Tracer is a game of cat and mouse that takes place over 18 rounds, representing the days remaining until the space station makes its return to the home world. One player takes on the role of the bug, moving invisibly throughout the station, trying to evade the team of developers, or “devs”, and stay hidden until the end of the game. 

The players controlling the devs use powers to help locate the bug, and must move into the same location as the bug to capture them before the 18 days are up. The devs are restricted to moving between adjacent locations, while the bug is able to also move through wires and transmitters, making capture more difficult.
